I'm writing to apply for the Senior/Staff Engineer role on your platform team. I've spent the last eight years building the unglamorous infrastructure that keeps fintech and SaaS products running — and I've learned that the most valuable thing I can bring to a team is a bias toward boring, durable systems over clever ones.

At Mira Financial I owned the migration of our payments ledger off a brittle cron-and-queue setup onto an idempotent, event-sourced design — cutting reconciliation incidents to near zero and giving the finance team an audit trail they actually trust. The work that mattered most wasn't the architecture; it was the months of making the cut-over safe, observable, and reversible. That's the kind of problem I want more of.

I lead by lowering the cost of change for everyone around me: tighter feedback loops, fewer moving parts, and documentation that explains the why, not just the what. I've grown teams from three to twelve, and I care as much about the engineer onboarding next month as the feature shipping this week.
