The curriculum — five pillars, 200 hours
-
Asana, Alignment & Sequencing
75 hrs The mechanics and art of the postures — safe alignment, hands-on and verbal adjustments, modifications for every body, and how to build a class that flows with intention from opening to savasana.
-
Anatomy & Physiology
30 hrs Functional anatomy for movement — the spine, joints, and fascia; the breath and nervous system; common contraindications; and how to keep students safe without teaching from fear.
-
Philosophy, Ethics & History
30 hrs The roots of yoga beyond the mat — the Yoga Sutras, the eight limbs, the yamas and niyamas, and the ethical responsibility of holding space as a teacher in a modern studio.
-
Pranayama, Meditation & Subtle Body
30 hrs Breathwork techniques, seated and guided meditation, and an introduction to the koshas, chakras, and the energetic frameworks that give the physical practice its depth.
-
Teaching Methodology & Practicum
35 hrs The craft of teaching — voice, cueing, demonstration, and presence. You will teach real classes to your peers and mentors, receive feedback, and graduate ready to lead a room.
Your certification & what comes after
Graduates who complete all contact hours, the practicum, and the take-home requirements receive a Sattva 200-Hour certificate and are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as an RYT-200 — the credential recognized by studios worldwide.
- ✓ Yoga Alliance RYT-200 eligibility on completion
- ✓ A written manual and lifetime access to course recordings
- ✓ Guaranteed audition slot to join the Sattva teaching roster
