Our Story
Noble & Sharp opened on North Wells Street in 2009 with a single chair, a vintage barber sign, and one guiding belief: a great haircut is not a commodity. It is a craft — one that demands patience, study, and an honest conversation with every man who sits down.
Founder Marcus Hayes had spent a decade honing his scissor work and straight-razor technique under Chicago's best, and he opened Noble & Sharp as a place where the old rituals still matter. The hot towel. The hot lather. The unhurried shave. The conversation that makes the chair feel like the most comfortable seat in the city.
Today, four barbers carry that philosophy forward — each with their own specialty, each committed to sending every client out the door looking sharper than when they arrived.
