The Intro Reformer Trio

$993 private sessions

Every new student begins here. The Intro Reformer Trio is three 60-minute private sessions that teach the reformer apparatus and the foundational movements of the method — so you arrive in group classes with the alignment awareness and spring-resistance understanding that makes the work safe and effective.

  1. Session 1

    Equipment Orientation

Learn the reformer inside out — springs, footbar, straps, and carriage. Footwork series in every spring position, plus neutral spine and coordinated breathing. You leave knowing how to set up and run the machine safely on your own.

  2. Session 2

    Core Foundations

The abdominal series, arm springs, and leg springs. An introduction to the Powerhouse — the deep core stabilizers that initiate every Pilates movement — plus spinal articulation and seated work.

  3. Session 3

    Full Beginner Sequence

Your instructor takes you through a complete beginner reformer sequence at class pace: short-box series, standing work, and the full mat-to-reformer transition. You leave genuinely ready for Reformer Fundamentals.

Book Your Intro Trio

First-time Forma students only. All three sessions are private (one-to-one) and must be completed within 30 days of purchase. The Trio is a prerequisite for Reformer Fundamentals and Reformer Flow.

Forma Teacher Training

Become a certified Pilates instructor

The Forma Teacher Training Program is a PMA-aligned pathway from your first apparatus hours to full comprehensive certification. Cohorts are small — a maximum of eight trainees — and led by Elena Vasquez and Marcus Lowe. Every track blends anatomy, the classical repertoire, and supervised teaching practicum, and prepares you to sit the PMA-CPT (Pilates Method Alliance Certified Pilates Teacher) exam.

Inside the comprehensive program

01

Anatomy & Movement Science 60 hrs

Skeletal and muscular anatomy, joint mechanics, the Powerhouse, and how the Pilates method maps onto functional movement and common pathologies.

02

Classical Repertoire 140 hrs

The full order of exercises across mat and apparatus — origins, progressions, regressions, and the classical transitions that connect them into flowing sequences.

03

Teaching & Cueing 80 hrs

Verbal, tactile, and visual cueing; correcting alignment safely; reading bodies in real time; and building balanced, well-paced group and private lessons.

04

Practicum & Assessment 170 hrs

Supervised observation, self-practice, and practice-teaching hours in live Forma classes, culminating in written exams and a practical teaching assessment.

Cohorts run twice yearly (spring and fall) and cap at eight trainees. Tuition can be paid in full or across a payment plan, and Reformer Club members receive priority enrolment. Completion of the Intro Reformer Trio and a short movement assessment are prerequisites for the Comprehensive and Bridge tracks. Certification prepares you to sit the independent PMA-CPT examination.
